What the what?!? Where have you been, Sara?

I know, I’ve been MIA for all summer. Everything is great, just super busy. It has been one completely crazy, chaotic summer full of fun, adventure, and paperwork. Yeah, I know, that last one doesn’t sound fun at all. And let me tell you, it was not, but it’s all worth it if we get on the Medicaid waiver.

Let me tell you, being a parent of a child with extra needs is already challenging, as you all know so well. Trying to sort through paperwork, gather all required documents, double/triple-check that everything is in order, it’s exhausting and a full-time job in itself.

On top of that, we have the news from our company that we’re switching insurance companies at the end of the year. So it’s also been a scramble to make sure our current doctors accept the new company and what plan/type they accept. Challenging, for sure.

Add into that some fun traveling for work in amazing locations like San Diego, Toronto, and Boston, and a fun little getaway to have AJ experience a plane trip for the first time to NYC… it’s been sooooooo very busy. And oh so worth it.

What else has been happening? Well, I’m so glad you asked. I started a company called Moon Waves Design, LLC. I haven’t officially launched yet, still working on getting the kinks out of the website and products posted. The company is basically homemade(ish) products like wooden signs, jewelry, engraved cutting boards, customized products, and more made on multiple different machines, like my brand new toy, the Glowforge, and my Cricut (Ad) Maker.

I’ve been practicing making items all summer and working on designs, which believe it or not, is a struggle for me. I’m totally creative and love making things, but the design side is hard. The process of figuring out how things fit together after being cut is so easy, yet so complicated. Concepts make sense, execution, however… the struggle is real.

What exactly does this mean for Unbreakable Sara? Not much really. I may end up combining stores to be one at Moon Waves Design, once I launched. Nothings going away, and this site will still remain, and I may even post more frequently than I have been.

I have a couple of posts written already, just haven’t gotten around to the follow-through and posting them. I also have some planned post that needs to be written. Good things are coming, like the importance of a care coordinator, our experience with Epidiolex, and I’m planning on a guest post or two.

Just know I’m still here, please feel free to reach out to me if you need someone to talk to. You can email me here at sara@unbreakablesara.com, hit me up on the comments below, or reach out through the contact form.

There is a lot to come, so stick around and let’s do this!
